I've seen some videos on YT of the SC project pipes...those things are loud.... is the modifier and filter a requirement of the aftermarket can or a stand-alone upgrade? does the AFM improve the fueling around 6500rpm, i've noticed mine will feel like it running out of fuel when cruising at 80-90mph, something to do with closed loop and O2 sensors...
Yeah, thats the one...looks very nice, almost brand new, still pricy though and not sure you get get the Duc finance on it... I looked...but was swayed by the free pipe on the new bike and low low monthly payments i'll worry about the £6K balloon payment in 3 years time
Yeah seen that but at £10500 your almost at new price…. Don't mind paying that sort of money if it's loaded with goodies… Not worried about finance either as I've sold my Tuono V4 and cash is in hand Keep a look out for me guys…..woop woop Mark
Sorry for delay, answer to your question...YES the AFM works a treat setting 7 seems to work best for mine...smoothed it out. But there was a factory " tweak" that was done by ducat manchester, took about 15 mins plug and lay, that was before the SC stuff was fitted, definitely helped. If your bike hadn't had that "tweak" get it done and then see how the fuelling is
Oh sorry also SC were good enough to tell me that the AFM and filter were not a requirement, the slip on is usable without but I took the lot. Noise wise ....bloody loud to the point where I sometime cringe going through small villages.....
Mr Kop, thanks for the reply, will be definitely quizzing the techs at the shop next time I'm over there. Was out for a blast yesterday, (Sedbergh - Kirby Stephen - Hawes - Keswick) and even noticed the fueling problem on half throttle on corner entry and the mid point before you properly open it up, a bit disconcerting really... On the subjective subject of noise... here is that video of the SC vs high level Termi... I have to say I think i prefer the Termi in this case, particularly on the fly by, even though it may not be breathing as well. I found the dB killer in the box the shop gave me and thought I'd give it a go, but it (as I suppose it should) seemed to kill the lovely deep bass notes, didn't seem to make any difference to performance, so its back in the box...
Mr Markey...not my video, but nice to see people putting stuff like this online... and I'm sure they are well loved by all their neighbours
Hi Dave, Stockport lad here, i take my retard to Ducati Manc for bits, if you wanna meet up sometime let me know, can compare notes
Mr Nick, Hello yes that would be good, not yet met any "retard" (giggle) owners in person yet, so would be great to swap notes...and have a coffee at the shop.. which one do you have? ..incidentally, have you ever been in the cafe next door? nice enough, for what it is, but last time i was in there the girl behind the counter was telling customers (with some pride) that her wee boy had killed someones pet rabbit with a hammer ... future serial killer in the making!
woohoo - another 200 miles logged this evening... MooMa and MooPa came to visit last week and me Dad forgot to take his shoes home,... seemed like a good excuse for a blast... Up through Thirlmere, St Johns in the wood and on to Hartside hill climb, open road no traffic :Woot: , race mode, feck me, its good. Stop for a fag at the top, wait for my hands to stop shaking, then over the tops to Alston, met my mate on his Buell, which is held together by tin-cans, jubilee clips, tie-wraps and tape, and up, over and down to Middleton, what a fantastic road that is, open bends, you can see for miles, proper bumpy though. Coffee in Barnard Castle and through to Redcar. Dark on the way home, that headlight is still hopeless, so stuck to the big roads..125 miles, 2 hours and 2 fuel stops, thank gawd for 24 hour garages in the middle of nowhere, light came on at 100 miles, normally get another 20 before the light comes on, but then again, i'm not often on the long and straight roads at 90ish for very long. Last leg from Ambleside to home was like a video game :Watching: , I thought I knew the road pretty well, but that lamp hides all the shit bits of road and shows me new bends that don't exist, exciting?...yup! Bike is 6 weeks old now, just clocked up 2900 miles, according to the finance, I'm only suppose to do 5K/year, oops...looks like I'll not be trading it in for a shiny new one then... I like 'em a bit ratty anyways...
Went to the MotoGp on the RSV4 (never been before) but ive gotta say next year ill probably go on the hyper...
Just to sumarize - i dont think the hyper area will be a busy one as there arent many of them around - i didnt see an aircooled one in the car park at Silverstone. Saw on 821 on the way though - that was it....ill try add as much as i can in when i can.... Gonna ave another go at the HID conversion soon - when i do ill throw up the photo's (providing the circuit actually works though) if not ill be fitting it to my 525 supermoto conversion when its on wheels...see what happens....
Hahaha jeez... yea i had a full breakfast the other day... scarey Ive got the original 1100 one, just changed gearing on it last week, as im not into the top speed especially on one of these, its more cornering and having a laugh on, i save the speed stuff for my MV
Just ordered the HID conversion kit, its for the older air cooled HM, but the nice chap (Iain) on eBay assures me that it will fit any HM model that uses H4 bulbs, he also said that there is a small modification to make to the headlamp unit for proper fitting, so looking forward to giving it a go and hopefully not butchering too much of the bike.. Will take pictures as I fit it and post the info, assuming I manage to make it work
