I finally managed a few miles with my new Nexx XR1R carbon and was very impressed. Much quieter than my old Shoe, very light and very comfortable. It was cold out though so I had a extra layers around my neck which pretty much stopped any air flow coming up around my chin so it could be different in warmer weather. The actual ventilation worked well and the visibility was brilliant as the helmet has such a large visor.
try cutting 2.5" off your screen , I bought a cheap screen off ebay for my mutli with spacers to lift it off brings the wind level down towards my chest. not perfect but bearable
Anyone review the reevu please? Considering one as I simply don't feel secure riding with the 1098 crappy mirrors.
I have had arai's over the yrs. They are nosiy and heavy and never again will i buy one. I use a Shark RSR2 Carbon for the hack to work. Very warm, quiet ( i still wear plugs ) and very snug. Visor system is great too.
I have a reevu that I bought about 15 months ago. it is quiet, on my bikes anyway. the downside is the weight. nicely made and comfortable but you do notice the weight on long journeys. the mirror is a useful extra and does help with safety when overtaking. I have just replaced it though as planning a touring holiday and wanted a lighter helmet. . pm me if you want to know any more.
My biggest question would be, is it suitable for a sportsbike? I imagine you need to be pretty much upright to see anything through the rear?
Never quite that simple figs, it just about fits through my doorway as it is with the std mirrors. I believe they vibrate even more so with extensions anyway?
