V4 Quietest Bike I’ve Ever Had

There seems to be a market for a CAN bus enabled mobile phone app that reads the motorcycle's revs, throttle opening etc. and plays an appropriate sound into a Bluetooth headset

 

Changing end can does almost nothing on the V4 MTS. Compare the Akra slip on to the stock exhaust and they both sound the same

 

Really? Surely there is an audible difference?

 

Nope, there's quite a few YouTube videos on it. Seems to be a peculiarity with this bike

 

The end can makes no difference. The full system does, but it’s not as loud as the full pipe on the 1200/1260.

I’d happily take a ‘bit’ more noise but I’m happy with the full Akra as the fuelling feels a lot better.

It’s way overpriced though.

 

Mivv and arrow sound really nice and good value money and quality, nice deep tone ime

 

Depends on bike. The previous multi (lost track is thisv4?!) had cat and baffling on the system, can straight thru, so often actually quieter but with a much deeper tone imho. If decat you need a can as it’s offensive to anyone without a deaf aid otherwise

 

News tonight. Rubery is fitting noise cameras in the next two months, automatic fines etc….

Compared to the price of a full system for most other Ducatis, it’s actually quite reasonable!
