And finally got around to it....my take on this method

Smoked plastic reservoir from monster. £16 ea from ducati. Clear Tygon tubing. Little aluminium brackets. I checked the pinch gap with feeler gauge before ordering thinner ally sheet

Looks much improved. See before pics above in thread.

After is peachy and very neat.
