Well, the dealer didn't change the gp sensor but fitted a new sidestand switch. Made no difference and the bike has continued to cut completely or spit and recover, always with clutch in whilst coasting in gear. I mentioned to the dealer that you other guys had a similar problem and they said, "Ah yes, but they may be running non standard mapping, different exhausts etc." Sounds like page 2 from the book of excuses but is a valid point. So, could you guys tell me if your models are stock standard please. I'm referring to the problem where the engine randomly cuts when coasting or maneuvering at low speed IN GEAR and with CLUTCH LEVER FULLY IN. Thanks
My Diavel used to do this totally random, sidestand switch changed - (fitted with full termi system from new) - it still did it! Then it started to flash up FUEL INJ! And then not start! Issue finally traced to ECU out of warranty, but id part exchanged it for 2013 Mutley GT. No problem since
Dead standard bike and it used to do the same thing, changed kill switch which stopped the problem for a long time. However just recently it did it twice since my Alps trip. Both times whilst going downhill, coasting on a closed throttle, but with the clutch out (rather than in.)
my bike is standard with full termi installed - getting on for 25K - 2010 S touring - serviced etc.. daily use it so am getting more and more comfortable with the wrong things when they happen. 4 kill switches so far and 1 sidestand switch bypass (from the US - about 20usd) - to stop it killing itself intermitenly. your dealer says changed sidestand switch, but has he done the kill switch too ? (understandably that is the one that goes under tank and needs 1-2 hrs labour so maybe he's forgotten or only bothered with the sidestand switch..) bugs
I have had this also a couple of times in 3k miles, First time I thought it might have been me, but could not remember, but it happened again today and I Know for sure it was not me, always slowing down gradually engine just cuts out always starts, maybe when running with a closed throttle for a period of time it flooding the engine at low revs? still a little annoying though
Hi all. I have had my 2014 gts a few weeks now and have had two random low speed, clutch in, engine cut outs . Starts on the button straight away but a bit worrying just the same. I will mention when I book in for 1st service at Riders and post up response in due course.
Had this issue intermittently from day 1 on my 2010 ABS multi, been thru the Ducati dialogue with factory, in and out of 2 dealers to look at issue without a solution Bought some Fatducs and installed at the start of this year, not happened at all since
I have a similar issue with my 2014 multi gt. It is Ducati leeds at the moment, they are trying to find the fault. I had a couple of issues, firstly under acceleration it would cut and almost misfire then come back in "not good coming out of hairpin bends!!". The next was on several occasions it would just stop revving up through the range. I pulled onto a motorway and gassed it, just sat at 4000rpm and would not go any further. This happened whilst at WDW2014 so i had it in with the factory ducati lads who changed the coils and plugs. Cleared it for a while but its back again. They also managed to leave out 3 bodywork panel fixings!!!! Quality.
