Every car Aston design are just gorgeous. (Except for that Lagonda thing) it’s almost as if they say “let everyone else design and produce their cars, then we’ll show them how it’s done” Even the DBX is nice. When I win the lottery it’s a DB12 for me.
I think even the Lagonda has it's own charm. The Brutal, excessive, uncompromising design was a brave move which I really like. The MD of a company I worked for 20 odd years ago had a bit of an oddball old car collection, including a Lagonda which he used to drive to work occasionally. I didn't realise quite how big they are until I parked my LWB Shogun next to it! It was a bit rough, and the digital dash had been replaced with conventional gauges, but seeing one properly in the flesh just made me appreciate them more.
Sent this to me Dad and this is his reply "Its a 9F. BR's last model of steam loco and most powerful. Wheel arrangement is 2:10:0. with 10 small driving wheels. Used to pull long freight wagons of iron ore from docks to steelworks in the northeast. Last one built was named "Evening star".number 92200. I hope the photographer didn't hit his head on the smokebox."
