As part of my engineering course we had to start the test engine which was only a single cylinder. If it didn't start it cost you a case of beer

Wendy is a hamlet and former civil parish, now in the parish of Shingay cum Wendy

 

We have a Chorlton- cum- Hardy near us.

 

Spent a very happy 2 and a half years living in Chorlton. Only left as I was made redundant.

I haven’t been to many areas of Manchester, Didsbury is possibly the only place I’d like to live.

 

That’s a good photo, unfortunately the bottom right near to St James church flooded recently when the river burst its banks.
