Interesting use of leaf springs on a 1937(?) Le Mans Alvis:

 

Due to recent warm weather I ordered a tower fan from Amazon. The day it arrived the warm weather stopped, so yes that was my fault. Failed to appreciate how big it actually was, it's a huge black monolith. So created an image for my review... not sure if Amazon will allow it...
Hopefully you'll get the Stanley Kubrick reference...

 

We bought an evaporative cooler, can have it as a fan or the water using cooler, from Morrisons, it was on offer at £28

 

It will be a snow making machine in 8 weeks!

Is the dial-like thing some sort of camber adjustment?

 

It's a friction damper, adjustable by way of the big nut.

 

And also notice it's FWD.
