The Jolly Sailer in Hampshire where they filmed Howards Way back in the eighties.

 

Yep, and still using that to charge too much for what is actually really ordinary food.
Don't get me wrong, it's not bad food, just not worth what they charge.

 

I was down that way yesterday and I had the Howard’s way theme tune playing in my head as I rode around

 

so you could say they've been dining off it ever since maybe

Agreed but what a location for that occasion trip on your own or with a friend for an hour or so.!

 

Its a fine place to be when the Regatta is on! I preferred the nearby Spinnaker with the dingy disco 'round the back, and the Old Ship where I learnt to drink (pasties for 22p)! Anyone know if the Vine is still open?
