I am not familiar with the particular project, but almost certainly. When I was in that environment 4 or 5 years ago, there were a number of technology demonstrator projects on motorcycles. Looking at its' "organic structure", it will have been designed with an FEA optimisation program. In very simple terms, you put in data such as fixing points, load inputs, stiffness requirements, material properties and areas to avoid. The software then creates an ideal structure. Generally they are very difficult to manufacture the shapes by conventional means, but lend themselves to 3D printing techniques.
I quite like it, very organic. Looks like the frame 'The Wraith' would create if they had motorcycles.
Same here - I think it looks great. It'd be a bugger to respray mind... Plus I can't see any mounting points for the rear subframe either. I wonder if it was ever completed and ridden?
