It is indeed an Aussie Canberra. The plane was on stands, they were removed in the darkroom. The Canberra was one of my late fathers favourites having worked on them among other planes from the 40/50’s era.
My late father was a navigator on Canberras 1951-69. 617, 213 and 73 sqns. Victor B1 on XV sqn - the one at Duxford before it was converted to a tanker.
Wow, As you are no doubt aware NASA continue to fly two much modified Canberras. Nothing so glamorous for my Father. He just repaired and painted aircraft at RAF St Athen. Not sure on his service years much to my shame. He was a late conscript in age as he waited until his apprenticeship finished them did his service. He’d ride home when he could get a weekend pass back to his Moms in College Road Erdington(Birmingham) in all weathers on his Douglas Mark 3.
