The rear brake on the ss is pathetic thats why i tried to adjust it up as much as i could, it felt like I had enough free play. Apart from it hitting the fairing, it also seems to require a lot of travel. Even with the travel taken out it's still inadequete. I'm wondering whether to just change the pedal and slave cylinder, because I cant imagine the caliper is the problem... surely someone has come up with a good alternative by now. Even before I purchased the bike I was aware of this issue with the ss because it was commented on in most reviews I read.
my mate had the same on a 916 there wasnt enough free on the lever....turned out he was resting his foot on it.
