whilst you are looking at drain holes dont forget the one under the rear hub....all the water that gets into the swingarm (it is hollow and does retain water and silt) I posted some pics of the amount of crap I got out of mine a while back
Just a snippet. I did quite a lot of Piaggio Zip scooters. To do the drive belt the large side cover had to come off. Something like 10 6mm bolts. The early models that were assembled in Italy all had anti seize compound put on in assembly. These always came off fine. The later models were assembled in china but all parts supplied from Italy so same materials. The ones in china were assembled dry. You could never get the bolts out without snapping them. Moral being that probably with some good Copperslip on the bolt shank it may prevent further problems.
I did my hub last year when I bought the cap/plug to fit in the big hole by the pivot. I hadn't had any issues with it whilst adjusting the chain but the amount of crap in there was shocking!
Well, to dig up an old thread….. I took my rear shock out today as I am getting it serviced. on re-assembly back in 2018, I copper slipped the lower bolt, torqued up and then filled the swing arm recess with black silicone. took me 20 minutes to dig out the silicone with a penknife, then the bolt came undone with a 3/4” ratchet & hex socket Longest part was the gazillion bolts that to get the reservoir out the subframe/panels. happy Sunday
