Hi, I chopped off the original wiring leaving some attached to the original footrest. I then attached the pressure switch wiring with a connector. It is usually hidden behind the frame but I have pulled it out so you can see. It would be easy to reattach the original if needed. HTH Neil
OK...great, thanks for going to the trouble I haven't done any chopping yet, plus I'm still waiting for a new rear brake line from HEL. I didn't really want to cut off the wire on the original footrests, so looked at getting a replacement...Checked out the price...58 Euro from Stein Dinse!...so decided against that! I'll probably do the same as you and chop the original wire. The banjo pressure switch from SES has two red wires...I'm presuming that this means it doesn't matter which wire goes to which when connecting it back into the original wiring?
Finally got around to fitting the SES rear sets. To my surprise the rear brake light works! I must be better at this wiring lark than I give myself credit for...
