Well done Dovi, two fingers salute. we could have had the worst outcome with the crash, but 2 things prevailed, one is luck and the other is testament to the incredible standards of protection now available to racers and ultimately us. I think it’s safe to say 10+ years ago you could have had 2 fatalities there.
The long and short of it's and thank christ we haven't lost a true sporting legend today in a freak accident,as that would have feck up my weekend for sure & many others.
Seen the crash clips - just watching the full coverage on BT Sport - despite all of the social media attention I have managed to avoid seeing the actual result even in clicking on this thread! Just wanted to share how i’m watching. If you have BT Sport free with your EE phone contract then you will know you have to pay to stream it on a TV. However if you have a Samsung Galaxy or Note phone - S8 and above I think. Then you can download Samsung Dex - install it on your computer and connect your phone via USB - The software then lets you launch your phone apps in full screen on your computer monitor (choose enhanced mode when the BT app prompts) Not sure how long it will take for BT to alter the app to plug the hole but until them I’m watching on a 4k 32 inch screen rather than my phone screen so use it while you can!
Rossi was a very very lucky boy today. Pol Espargaro has proved beyond doubt that he is an absolute cock of the highest order. And it appears that the Ducati team are not really a very friendly or accommodating bunch. The list of top class riders unable to fit into the way the team is run has been added to with Dovi’s demise. Rossi , Stoner and Lorenzo will attest to that also it seems . Well done Dovi for winning on the weekend that really counted.
Wow - Just Wow. That race had everything - removing Marquez from the equation has shaken everything up - great result for Dovi - perfect timing for him Rossi, either sold his soul to the Devil years ago who’s now trying to collect - or he has a guardian angel - based on the evidence of his life - i’m guessing both! I personally hope he hangs up his boots before his luck runs out. He has nothing to prove and but for a twist of fate today his incredible life could have been ended in a heartbeat.
So there is a real chance Dovi will win again next weekend and go on to win the championship and with no ride for next year yet he will not be able to defend his title, strange times.
Riding no arguments, just something about the micro pause in his commentary style that I can’t listen too.
And every statement ends in ‘isn’T IT’ (caps as he always exaggerates they T’s) and makes huge statements of the obvious. Decided to look on twitter yesterday and Huen was getting some grief for his knife fight comment. Some snowflakes need to lighten up ffs
For me it’s that I can’t shake the feeling that I’m listening to Vernon Kay! Still - better than the shouty man on WSBK
Been watching the incidents again this morning and that part of the track(the Zarco crash part) needs seriously looking at, just so glad in both incidents where not any worse than they could of been!!
