I can see traces higher up (red circled) .....BUT ....it's possible air flow could push it up I guess ......could you clean it off and run the engine ...? ....if there's enough coolant in the system .....try to look higher up in the coolant system.....just my thoughts.
Started the bike, and you were right, it is dripping from above. Will try tightening or replacing the clamp.
Don't forget even if you nip it up and stop the leak ...there may be some residual coolant hanging around between the hose and pipe stub ....... So run some hot water over the area to flush it away maybe ? ...then dry it off ...
Managed to tighten it, got in 3 or 4 turns but still leaking profusely. Anyone know the part number for the hose? And clips?
Just use something like this to find your part numbers https://www.bike-parts-ducati.com/ Re clips. Just get quality clips .... stainless .....make sure have rolled edges so they don't cut the hose.....I've used "Norma" ... excellent ...but there are others out there. .
Are you sure its coming from the hose union and not the weep hole (failed water pump seal). If it is leaking from the hose then it's more likely you have a cracked thermostat boss. The jubilee clips are only meant to be tightened to 2Nm, so if someone has hung on them in the past it may well have damaged the plastic thermostat housing boss. Also might be worth checking the rubber seal between the thermostat housing and the engine case, as it is not unknown for these to leak/weep as well and migrate outward towards the hose. Best clips for these hoses are "Mikalor" narrow band ones. Rolled edges and narrow enough that they don't compress the hose over the lip of the boss, which JCS (typically supplied with aftermarket kits (Samco) tend to do.
I am guessing the hose I need is number 7 from the attached picture, but not 100% sure? Looking for confirmation. Thanks
I still very much doubt it is the hose unless the stock OEM clip has chewed into it or it has perished. As mentioned, remove the hose and check for cracks in the plastic boss first, as changing the hose will not resolve your problem if that is the failure point. The plastic thermostat housings are a weak point and there are much better aluminium ones on the market that can withstand higher clamp torques for a guaranteed seal.
I managed to remove a few more parts to get better access and on doing some more investigating it looks like the thermostat has smashed through the housing at the top. Great start to ducati ownership!
Pretty sure you have been unlucky,I had 2012 evo corse for 12 months and genuinely had no issues,it’s for sale with optimum now and I was new to Ducati,really worried however without cause. Btw chopped it in for a v4s and would have kept it if my garage was big enough

Im with you on this, I reckon its the water pump leaking, my SL leaks from the water pump weep hole on start up, unlike my 1199 it has a pipe so it goes down at the bottom of the fairing, but when the engine warms up it stops leaking, guess the seal likes the 100 degrees!
Update. I had the part replaced under 'goodwill' from Ducati UK. They waived or reduced the part but had to pay labour. £275 lighter and I rode it 22 miles to my home address and put it on the stands for winter. Last week decided I'd give the bike a nice clean and noticed more Coolant in the exact same place. Contacted the Ducati dealership to let them know what happened and was told, they'd happily look at it but I would be liable for all costs as it was a goodwill repair and is not covered by their warranty at all! So I am back to where I was before. Really feel like they pulled my pants down... again!!!
Sure its not leaking out of the hose above, I see something when I blow up the pic. Other than that not a lot of goodwill out there!
It does look it leaking from.above, but so tight hard to even get light in there. Hoping it's something like a lose connection but won't know unless obstacles are taken out
