  1. And I hope to be there next week!!

  2. Wow you must be his biggest customer! :-D
    How's the Z going?

  3. 3rd time there but - this time ive got the exhaust and air filter how I want it.....when I took the hyper first time I had it dyno'd on a stock header and termi tail, then, a year later got the opportunity of a set of race headers....meaning it had to go back again...

This time ive got the full system and air filter from the word go so, I should only need to go the once!

As for the Z....really nice, glad I made the right choice and didn't go for the s1000r - now this could be just me "cos ive got one....and all that" but id say mine with the full system, goes a lot better than the s1000r but in all fairness to the s1000r I did test ride it totally stock....plus the weight of the full system that came off mine was a staggering 22 kilos which makes it lighter than the s1000r now as well (only just though), I believe. As I say, that is against a stock s1000r but the one thing I can say is the z looks way better.

Im just about to finish the ktm supermoto build (we're at the final wiring stages) should get some more done tonight....gonna run it through the summer and see how it goes. If it goes, im afraid ive got the building bug.....my next project (if I were to get rid of it...) would absolutely definitely be another hyper, but, id go for an old 2007 1100, rip the thing to pieces and build from the ground up, coating the engine, fit a motogadget loom to it. Got the motogadget loom started on the ktm the other night and I can absolutely say without doubt it is the best looking set of clocks ive seen on anything, ever, so much so that im probably going to get a set for the z.

  4. Fairplay you've certainly got the tinkering bug :-D 22 kg saving on the exhaust! Wow that's bonkers. I do really like the look of the Z, can you get a single sided swingarm on one :-S

  5. Heh - that'd be a bit weird....the exhaust is massive, ive got a box in the garage for all the stock bits and with the headers out I can just about get it above my head to chuck in the crawl space....id say the tailpipes must be at least 5kg a piece....

I love the look of it. Its what a naked should be, short, fat, stocky and all about the "front" and I love the the back end as well as it looks reminiscent of my RSV4....

As its a heavy bike (heaviest of the naked's currently) ill be going for weightsaving as a priority....the rear tailtidy was a bit porky as well!
