went the other way...replaced my termi can with a custom made end can that is lighter and has literally no baffle and has an exit angled back rather that onto rear plate. Bike sounds glorious but not in a harsh kinda way, have to wear ear plugs but the other benefit is that cars hear me coming and move out of way on the commute and don't pull out in front of me accidentally. the day when electric bikes come in there will be carnage on the road as we whisper our way into sides of sleeping automated vehicle drones..
I have to disagree. I thought mine sounded horribly strangled with the baffle in and other riders commented on it. I tried drilling a 12mm hole in the end plate below the main outlet but it made negligible difference so I thought "bugger it" and took the baffle out and left it out.
Ahhh! Mine's never been out, so that's what it is! (In my defence, it looked a lot bigger in the photo!)
I put it in once to try it, but took it out again. I love the bark that the Termi gives. It can get the focus people in cars quite easily!! Deaks
Thanks for identifying the part guys, I had a massive panic attack thinking someone would pop up and say its part of the original system lol
