Is the top flat?like a rivet. Then it looks like the rivets that hold the plaques in place on the top yoke. So the numbered plaques like on a SP or SPS,R,... Henk!!!
Thank you…. I will be getting the correct TB’s…just a pain. slight change of plan as I have now dropped the engine out….forks out. only the rear wheel and shock are connected. The great news is that the swingarm bolt came out no bother whatsoever. made an engine stand from some scrap wood too…
if it’s a one part I can’t say but all race bikes need lock wire to hold whatever in place for safety or sometimes just so the homo’s justify the job they do!!! .....”homos”.....the guys that set the rules and check the bikes!!!!! Just to clarify!!!
Oh! And it also makes sense that they use a rivet to protect the wire, those parts would make short work of lock wire with direct vibration from moving parts! happy to help dude
Some caliper cleaning and stripping….just waiting on new seals to arrive. Pistons were nice and clean
Slow progress really with holidays and some personal stuff…. Lots of cleaning plus, suspension at FTR for a service, bodywork painting started, headstock stripped, calipers back together. waiting for a few bits and then it will be putting it all back together
Ive used FTR for a couple of rear shocks, there unit is set in a very nice bit of countryside with all the horse's.

Valve clearances all done, clutch seal done, belts done….engine cleaned and ready to go back into frame
Back on the bench…. Engine loose fitted with swingarm… Headstock bearings tomorrow and then steering stem in before new plugs, oil filter and oil…..
Swingarm sorted…cleaned and regressed. JT carrier, few titanium nuts and bolts….loving that I am putting stuff back together big shout to Glen at Moto V near Colchester. Got him to look over the engine just in case and all good

Almost ready for the big start.... Pete at Padded Cell has been doing bodywork but got t-boned on his motorbike so slight delay on that. Hopefully this week. Just waiting for a couple of new o-rings for the cooling system, then it will be filling it with coolant and starting her up. List of stuff I have done so far is as follows. Complete strip to almost a bear frame All rubbers treated and softened New belts Valve clearances New fuel pump filter and o-ring New steering bearings Pretty much every bolt that was not engine block related has been removed, cleaned and copper slipped Wheels are at Maldon Shot blasting to re-powder coat New seals in rear brake m/c Stripped and cleaned clutch and front brake m/c as rebuild kits are not available Bodywork being made like new - no stickers or decals all paint work All brake calipers stripped and rebuilt New throttle bodies as originals were cracked and had a bit missing New o-rings for cooling system All new copper washers New clutch bleed banjo, original was seized and snapped off Fitted new left clip on Fitted JT sprocket carrier Cleaned and regreased rear axle bearings Few titanium bolts. Both sets of discs, mudguard and hub pinch bolts Lots and lots of cleaning New coolant and oil On starting her up the following will be left to do Fit discs to front wheel and new bearings and fit both wheels Sort condensation in front off side light Fit chain and sprockets Fit new pads and bleed all calipers Check condition of clutch and sort as required Bleed clutch Make battery clamp as Motobatt battery is not a direct fit New tyres New air filters Fit all the repainted fairings MOT Start up videos to follow along with some bodywork pictures
