Riding With Out Mirrors

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by cookster, May 25, 2016.

  1. I'm almost done fitting my one (1198).

I have a sat nav bracket (bought on here) that replaces the top yoke bolt and to this I have modified an iPhone 6 waterproof case to take my screen. Where the original elephant ear mirrors are i have Oberon blankers and have fitted little led indicators to them. Didn't fancy drilling the fairings and having them side mounted.

  4. Up to the early 80s most bikes did not have mirrors. You just had to look round often enough. Then it became normal to have a mirror, or eventually two mirrors. Nowadays, given modern traffic conditions, I do not think riding with no mirror is feasible. Some folk try to ride vintage or classic bikes without, but it must be a struggle. And a risk.

  5. even rubbish mirrors give you the heads up on the blues and twos. Especially the blues!
