RIP Bobby Charlton, a true legend.

I feel privileged to say I saw him play for England when I was a kid. I can still remember how the back of the net absolutely exploded when he shot from something like 35 yards out. Unbelievable.

 

totally agree, not even a football fan latterly but always had respect for the man.

Took some overseas family on the Manchester United tour on Friday where great memories of Bobby were made.
Sad to hear of the news the day after.

You know what? I’d pondered something like this happening before. I was with my best mate at a skating ring and he sliced his hand right open requiring a gazillion stitches. It was nasty. I was right behind him at the time and we all went down in a big heap. I remember thinking at the time ‘Christ, that could easily have been his face or neck’
