Grew up watching him, was a funny guy. When Christopher Reeve was in the hospital, awaiting a back surgery that had a fifty/fifty chance of killing him, a man burst into his room. He was wearing surgical scrubs, talking in a Russian accent, and said he was there to give a rectal exam. It was Robin Williams; the two men had been roommates together at Juilliard. Later Reeve said of his life-long friend: “For the first time since the accident, I laughed. Very sad, he was a great talent, and very versatile. In a twist of pure irony, last night BBC3 showed the family guy where everybody Peter touched turned to Robin Williams.
Was gutted when I heard this when I got up this morning. Been a big fan since Mork and Mindy. Watched the Robin Williams Live at the Met on You tube earlier and still remember every word of it despite it only being on VHS and not having that for years....

Either born famous or get that way thru one's own efforts , become widely known as "good at their job" , well liked , does good things for others , more money than needed..... and yet ( they perceive ) something is so wrong with life they want to end it.
