The only example of Ducati's 125cc 4 cylinder Grand Prix bike. Developed by Fabio Taglioni in 1965 it was extensively tested but never actually raced. The DOHC motor featured 4 valves per cylinder and used an 8 speed gearbox. 23hp at 14,000rpm. Weight 85kg. Prior to its purchase and subsequent restoration the motor had found its way to Latvia and the frame to Yugoslavia! Photographed in Pesaro, Italy. 2011. Morbidelli Museum.

  9. rip.
    any footage of it running.

  10. A good innings but sad for his family all the same.

  11. Sadly the early-1960s 125 four was not very successful, even in Spain. And the late great Franco Farne was the rider (and mechanic) - Taglioni was the designer.

  12. Geoff Duke OBE passed away yesterday aged 92. 6x World Champion, 1951 Sportsman of the Year, 6x TT winner.

  13. Another icon leaves us, a great champion, who was a great role model on how to behave too. Very modest, all so different nowadays, but I do reckon motorcycle racers are still in touch with the public, long may that go on and RIP GD.

  14. Two remarkable gentlemen
