Few more from St Petersburg. I'm using my camera more than the phone at the moment so don't have much to upload. It's amazing how many tour buses are here, almost every monument has 20+ buses parked outside. 1 more day here so I'll probably go visit the fortress and then I'm off to collect my bike and head to Tallinn for a couple of nights.
Big up to Ducati Helsinki. I was worried I had a coolant leak as I had lost about 0.5 litre and the bike was running hot the last couple of hundred km's so I asked them to take a look while they were changing tyres. They checked and changed the coolant, dropped the oil to check there was no coolant in it, put in fresh oil, cleaned the bike (it was absolutely boggin), checked the brakes and took it for a test ride. They didn't want any extra over the quoted price to supply and fit the tyres so big thanks from me. In the end they couldn't find any leaks so they're confident everything is fine.
Few more pics to finish off. Had a bit of trouble getting into Ukraine and was accused of being in the Night Wolves biker gang and held/interviewed for two hours but all good in the end. Bike was awesome. The suspected coolant leak was a false alarm and just due to all the road crud blocking up the radiator.
Good on yer.... Respect. As you say you only live once, but those memories will always stay with you.
Great photos - keep them coming, and if you have the time/inclination for a bit of commentary, so much the better. JockMcSporran - this year's AntiheroX, in terms of serious mileage to unusual places on a Panigale.
Good pics,we have the same ones at Gerainger and some video footage of the climb and descent to the viewpoint .....well done on getting to Nordkapp too From the weather we were in Bergen about the same time as well as it was torrential. The Russian part of your trip is one i would love to do...... good to see someone doing it
Cheers all, it was a good trip and I'd fancy going back to some of the places and spending a bit more time in them at a later date. Started writing a little diary on the trip but gave up at Nordkapp as I'm not much of a writer. In the end I only really had three proper wet days. A few showers but mostly dry for the rest of it. Proper windy at Nordkapp and a few bikes seemed to have given up along the way and just set up camp at the lay-bys. Not sure I'd bother with that part again. I've got a few more pictures but I'm offshore just now and connection is a bit crap.
