  1. cheers will look on there site and email them.

  2. Mine does the same hunting around 30MPH in either 1st or 2nd. I was thinking of going up 2 teeth on the rear sprocket to make 1st gear get away better and up the revs a little around town to reduce the hunting. Means new chain though, so still weighing up the pros and cons.

  3. reckon a ecu tinkering at a tuners could be cheaper than replacing the sprocket and chain. well either way there would not be much in it.waiting to here back from a couple of tuners locally at the mo.to be honest I don't see why I should pay for something that ducati gave me and is not as good as a standard slip on bike.im sure the ducati ceo would not be happy riding a bike with this low revs problem.

  4. I'll be honest and say it doesn't sound like a map thing to me, unless the TPS is out of sync. One of the things that's always worth doing is checking that the throttles are properly balanced. That said this shouldn't cause such serious issues, only the pops and bangs.

My 899 with termi map on seems to want to warm up for a min at least. If I get on it and ride it straight from cold it's really fluffy, almost like it hasn't had chance to sort itself out.

I don't ride with any meaningful revs from cold but have to roll away from the road because of he noise in the morning but it definitely prefers to warm up properly

  5. had the bike checked when I first got it at my local dealer as I was not expecting this problem low down in the revs.they replaced a throttle body and rechecked the mapping.they told me its running how it should. been in touch with other forums and they all seem to say a ecu adjustment will get rid of it. will cost £360 to get it done. yea its an expensive and one of the top of the range duckes but I'm annoyed that the main dealer cant do this.
we don't all go on trackdays every day and since the akras on this bike are pushed by ducati you would have thought they realise you have to go slow on them and stop at junctions in the real world. I'm going on now haha.

  6. Same price I got back yesterday. Does seem on the expensive side to me.
Found these guys in Milton Keynes..Milton Keynes Motorcycle Dyno Testing & Tuning , Bucks Home
I'll try tomorrow to get a price.

  7. cool let us know what you find. yea it is expensive in my eyes but is this the going rate who knows. the one in Aylesbury will do it while you wait but could be around 2hrs they told me.but they guarantee they will cure the akras problem. I just want it done.at the mo I'm booked in on the 11th may to get it done, but if you find a better option I will cancel. cheers.

  8. Let us know how it goes please.

  9. no probs will do.

  10. will do. will email ducati aswell if it works see what they say.

  11. have tried to call them today...not got thru, so have emailed.
    keep you posted.

  12. seems more complicated doing the tune as the guys in Aylesbury will have to link up to a german company to get the correct downloads on the day. maybe this is why it will cost so much.think they know what they are doing though.

  13. Looks like the safe option. The mail I sent to MK Dyno has bounced as address not found in the look up.
Must have gone out of business.

  14. cool, its going on 13th june , will let everyone know if its a success ( better be for the money).the tuners are just behind tescos as you go into Aylesbury so not hard to find. cheers

  15. FYI, 2 big Tesco in Aylesbury. You want the North one.

  16. yep found it on google maps. cheers . will let you know if it works. some of the other tuners are saying fit a power commander but I don't really want to go down that route really.want to keep the electronics as standard as I can.

  17. Hiya found out why I was having the dead spot low down in the revs. was not spotted the first time it was looked at by the dealer but they found the culprit.it was not a mapping issue but was the adjustable clutch lever I had sourced and fitted from new. seems this has happened a few times before and is just pot luck if the clutch setting is slightly out. cant believe ive waited 600 miles riding with this real annoying problem. thnk god its running smooth now 30 mph and under and pulling ff at junctions is finely sorted hooooorrrrayyyy.
onyer bike Aylesbury I love you ( lent me a pani lever aswell).

  18. have you washed it with lots of water, or rode it on very wet roads?

  19. So you not taking it for a re-map then?

  20. Excellent news.
What levers did you have fitted? And, what have you got on now?
Now wondering if mine could be the same issue.

    Cheers
