  1. “Yeah, but why are they s**t? Because it’s their own doing. They kicked out 99% of the engineers to get his engineers. His guys in there. And now they are f****d and he can't even make it past the lap. So it's their own doing. Everybody wants to complain about their own bikes, nobody wants to do anything about it. Shut the f**k up and get on with it the job.”

Is he talking about 93? Whats the story with engineers (apart from the obvious)

  2. I couldn't work out who he was talking about. I would be surprised if it's Marquez as his team have been with him since 2013 and he's won all his champs with them. I think it's more likely it's talking about someone like Vinales or Fabio.

  3. Looks like you could be right....

"It was not an easy decision. And we took a little bit more time to evaluate all the project," Quartararo said of his new two-year deal.

"As you can imagine, we were not talking only to Yamaha. At one stage, my head was going to one side, then one week later I wanted to go and it was a little bit difficult.

"Basically, my first goal is to have the best bike and best project. And they convinced me because they will bring new people, engineers, and they know exactly where they need to improve.

"In the past, maybe they were working on a few areas, but they didn't really accept that the bike was more slow than the others. And now they know and they will clearly work on this weak point."

  5. Yup so im assuming jack is saying now he has his new engineers hes still moaning hes got a shit bike.

    Unless im mis-reading it?

  6. Looks like the crux of his deal was the promise of a better engine for '23.
Who knows, eh? Maybe it is better, but all the others are better too...

  7. He got a better engine, now he's saying that ruins other aspects of the bike as it's too aggressive. He was something like 5th on the speed charts at Mugello, and there was an article saying it's basically 20KPH faster than it was last year.

The issue is starting to become obv, he needs a V4 engine.. And while the Cross Plane 'simulates' a V4, it isn't the entire story, and requires too many balancers and internal crank weight to stop it grenading.. (Anyone feel free to look up just how complex even a stock road R1 2CR crank is, it's unbelievable).

The aren't going to go V4, so the only way is out with their tails between their legs.

  8. They could always spend some (edit: more constructive) time on aero like ducati clearly have. Might negate the need to redesign an engine that clearly works/does what it needs to or even worse walk away altogether.
