People are so unkind about their wives lol. Ive been with mine 23yrs. 13 married. I bet she could outnavigate the lot of you.
I suspect it comes down to the number of seats - a 110 station wagon normally is marked as having seating for 12 IIRC.
Lol I think it might be We have a male voice announcing special offers in store and it's a nice voice I switch off easily to a woman's voice Because it grates on me Lol many customers feel patronised by the female self scan voice and ask can they turn her off .... Luckily you can
I could go on about the virtues of a decent sat-nav - it's ability to know where traffic-jams are and plan a route around them before I get to them, the ability to know which direction the next bend goes at night before you can see it, the fact that it can take through places that you would never know about if you just stuck to the same route all the time, the fact that it can warn me if I go "slightly" over the speed limit... Those that have them and know how to use them already know all this. Those that don't want one, or can't be bothered to read the instructions to set it up correctly, probably don't care anyway... The biggest problem with sat-navs is the mindless morons that just follow what they think it is telling them without actually applying any common sense - here's a tip, if you think it is telling you to turn into a river, a canal or a railway line then you have probably misunderstood and it's best not to ! I think mine is great - as you might have guessed - but it is a guide and only a guide...
My wife can't open the petrol cap on her car (honest), so her chances of using sat-nav effectively are non-existent
sat nav ha great when it tells me I am in field then again the wife is just as good saying turn right now ............... well that would be great if I wasn't on a dual carriageway sat nav just another woman telling me where to go ....................
You need to get the one where you can choose the voice. Billy Connolly or Basil Fawlty are pretty good!!!
Same here-my wife is brilliant at map reading and navigating.works well because I am not to good at map reading and she prefers me to drive anyway.
Of course the main advantage of the sat-nav is that you don't have to turn it upside down when you're traveling south...
My works Land Rover , that I did have , was a commercial but my own Land Rover , that I used to own , wasnt. The commercials dont have back seats or side windows and you buy them tax deductible . There also only £180 a year to tax .
"My works Land Rover , that I did have , was a commercial but my own Land Rover , that I used to own , wasnt. The commercials dont have back seats or side windows and you buy them tax deductible . There also only £180 a year to tax ." That may be how it used to be - whoever enforces the LEZ doesn't categorize them that way anymore, apparently. As I said, there was a lot of fuss on the Land Rover forums about it...
