Discussion in 'Racing & Bike Sport' started by duke63, Oct 3, 2018.

  1. It won't take Paul Bird to figure out Scott Redding isn't a winner he's another of the Great British also rans you can put
    Chris Walker
    Bradley Smith
    Laverty Brothers
    Cal Crutchlow
To name a few fast riders real tryers but not winners

  6. That's not the point is it. You listed him as a non winner. I personally don't take to him, but there's no denying he has been a world champion and also a Moto GP race winner. Scott Redding and Bradley Smith are also GP winners. Hardly a list of non winners there!

  7. My interpretation of a winner is someone who consistently wins races and championships non of which Redding, Smith or Cal have done . Fogerty and Ready are winners

  8. My interpretation of a winner is someone who has won races at the highest levels of his sport. All of your list of non winners have won at either BSB, WSS, WSBK, 125GP, Moto2 or Moto GP

  9. Hey you two fighting over a argument why don't you have a little wager on this one:thinkingface:

  10. I'm happy to put a tenner of my hard earned cash on Redding winning a BSB race next year

  11. Time will tell whose right
    Redding won't win BSB
The others mentioned won't win a championship of any consequence

  12. Noted:upyeah:

  13. I need someone to bet with though. I'm not paying everyone on here if he doesn't! o_O

  14. I'm normally straight talking but will take a rain check on this one as still black & blue from the last round:no_mouth:;):upyeah:

  15. I thought the subject was consistanly winning races and championships I don't dought he may with the odd race but Brooks will win more

  17. Haslam hasn’t won a lot, that doesn’t mean he cannot win the BSB title. Redding has amazing talent, but not a great MotoGP bike. Not being a multiple world champion doesn’t make you slow or not a winner. Considering what a dog the Honda is in MotoGP this year, Cal does well to consistently only be a couple of places off MM.

  18. I'll bet you £10 Brooks wins more races than Redding

  19. Is that the same dog MM is running away with the championship using
To be fair Cal is doing well he would do better if he didn't fall off so often
The aprillia is crap but the Pramac Ducatis were decent bikes Redding didnt achieve much

  20. Everyone says that, but check the stats and MM crashes just as much as Cal (more in 2017 I believe). So the Honda is a pig and Cal is nearly as good as MM (in speed and crashes). To say anything else is a disservice to Cal, even though I’m not his biggest fan.

On the Pranav bikes Reading was doing pretty well, and was unfortunate to miss out to His team mate for the upgraded bike.... after that he wasn’t quite the same, but it must be hard to keep your chin up after a hit like that.
