Might have to add that to my travel itinerary for next year with the old man as my late grandfather was RN in an LST followed by HMS Ruler an escort carrier. Is the museum big enough to warrant the journey from Nottingham and over night stay?
Probably not on its own, but there are a whole bunch of other Navy related museums all pretty close to the D-Day one that would easily fill any spare time and more! They're listed here... Portsmouth Historic Dockyard The main one, with Victory and Mary Rose, is walkable from the D-Day one and is well worth a visit. The walk along the front and through Old Portsmouth is pleasant also, with some history along the way. If you decide to come down let me know and if I can I'd do tour guide/chauffeur if you wanted.
Hi, Just joined the forum. Originally from the U.K. I now live in the Wild West of Australia. On my second Ducati as of yesterday, a nice new Hypermotard 939. Still have a Scrambler which is up for sale. I found it a bit small! The HM is definitely taller! I didn't get to ride the Scrambler much apart from the regular commute. Hopefully I will get to use the Hyper a bit more, especially as Spring has arrived! Kev.
Yup, though I do prefer the Hypermotard. Current thinking when the final payment is due is to buy it outright then hand it over to a local custom bike builder to do something with...
I can understand why, having looked at the Hypermotard, looks brilliant whilst the scrambler is a bit of fun, the hypermotard is a serious bike.:handok:
The seat currently on it is one of these... Sargent Ducati Scrambler Solo Style Motorcycle Seat Far comfier than the OEM one.
I am just about to take possession of this version of Icon, how do you find the seat on this, as I keep hearing mixed feedback on the standard seat? Cheers  Ps what screen is that you have on her?
