My alternative is to ride scrunched down behind the screen - the still air bubble is lovely and quiet!
I'm glad it worked for you. Many variables in play here, not just rider height. Their screen is a quality item and fits well. The tinted one is too dark to be practical for a fairly tall/large screen. So, my advice is to get the clear if you're buying one. The Touratech screen is interesting in that it has a moulded in 'flip' along both sides and across the top. Alas at 6' it didn't significantly improve buffeting for me. I had high hopes given their claims of reducing turbulence. Given the premium price I spoke to them and requested a no quibble return if I didn't get on with it so long as I kept the protective film in place. They agreed to this and just as well as it went back toute suite.
My fugley and the blackbird before both had custom screens for every day use but when touring, both were swapped for mra vario screens with the slight extra screen at the top. vanity mostly as the mra vario screens for me at 6ft 3 and on any bike, reduced buffeting greatly but look minging but on a tour they earn their money and make the trip easier.
