Seems from Viv’s post that some users who don’t seem to be around often (or not at all in the case of Gixerade) are making the ratings, but seemingly without being on here much - so a bug in the forum software perhaps?
I received a peculiar “Love you” (unexpected and totally unwarranted!) and when I list the ratings, I found a “Lock thread” somehow awarded, which I hadn’t! Seems weird.
Mark64 has not posted since Mid Sept, all ratings given since then….. Which reinforces my theory it’s not the users that are giving them - it’s a hack/bug.
And (last) Thursday was when the issue was first noticed. From what some have said erroneous ratings can still be given even when studiously avoiding them when scrolling. It does still strike me as a software bug.
does it coincide with the difficulty in signing in thing? i was struggling to the point i was getting the feeling somebody was trying to tell me something. but i took DB's advice and just remained signed in once i got in. so ha! if it was, who ever it was can getitrightupye. that will learn yah. something else that has been going on for as long is receiving a rating and even @me's at times but not seeing then unless im perusing over a thread again.
Iv just checked and it seems iv somehow given a lot of ratings somehow, somethings going on for sure.
Definitely 100% innocent on sending any "lock" threads..... As given the option.... Nukes all the way for me !!
