Come on we all know that. When I was doing my running with BMF I got even heavier but I could run couple of miles before collapsing.
and look where we are again I would have gone to Bristol to finally buy you one but am unemployed again FFS.
Used one for the 1st time recently and if there wasnt an assistant nearby it was getting close to have a pile of goods left on it and no sale. There was far too many options on the 1st and subsequent screen. It wasnt clear what the process was and it didnt give an meaningful messages when I got it wrong. And it still needed attendant support as i bought something that only adults were allowed to (no it wasnt a sex shoppe ) .. I've avoided for a long time and will continue to do so for as long as I can (must becomming a luddite in my old age)
It took me a looong time to actually figure out there were two scanning parts, vertical and horizontal. The things they have today eh!
Yes I come across this alot. My tips are: If you use a bag press the using my bag this let's the bagging area know that there is a bag if you don't put a bag there it says unknown item. To make using one easy for first couple times just press start, scan your item and place in the bagging area DON'T MOVE IT BAG AT THE END ONCE PAID then you should have no problems till you are used to it. You must be on the payment screen otherwise it will always decline your card. Bagging at the end should stop all those unknown put back items. Get the attendant to run through it with you and explain it too you simply. All items that carry barcodes have the weight of the item in it. If you alter this in anyway that's when you get her nagging you. This includes items half on half off bagging area that is your scale. You will need attendant support on all think 25 items on our self scans you put that item in the bagging area and carry on. When authorising we can see exactly what you have. Hope that helps
You should be your store's public relations manager, as we've all tried our best to wind you up n your still so bloody polite and helpful And luca can have your job
If I`m on my own then "no way Jose" but............ If I`m with the family I always suggest using them. Not me though, I stand back and watch my other half and my daughter niggling each other on how best to do it. Usually ends with a "MOTHER!!! what are you doing?" First time we used one was "interesting". The poor assistant kept her cool in the ensuing chaos. I think she would have happily given us the shopping for free, if we promised never, ever, to go back.
They are not to be used by anyone who earns a decent living That way the poor people can have some fun and we can have fun watching them get proper pissed off because they are f........g Useless.
Ooo and I thought you were all serious Gawd I dont catch on quickly To be honest I hated the damn things and avoided them like the plague and I get so annoyed waiting in Asda for help that I made it my business to learn how they work to simplify it for others
They are called bioptics it makes it easier to scan an item as it will catch it one way or another Check your receipts for double or triple scans at checkouts as the product can scan several times. See and you thought checkouts were better at least at self scan it alerts you to the mistake
No wonder my bills are so big, and your now telling me I might not have a drink problem as I might not have bought that many to start with ;-)
I think that the best things are the scanners that you take round the shop with you, scanning as you go, very useful for the 'big' shop each week because that way I know exactly how much I have spent as I go round, saves on over spending, and you get to see a person at the till so you still get some human interaction. The self scan tills are very useful for small purchases, but you still need tills with attendants for buying alcohol, DVD's etc. I hate even the idea of internet shopping for my groceries, I do not want somebody else deciding what I would like instead if they are out of stock of my requested product, I also like to check sell by dates to ensure that they are appropriate for when I require the goods.
