  1. Rossi ran mm wide, very off line, into the gutter area of the track purposely. That is why he was given points. Mm fell off, his reaction to the forced track position and speed being part of the reason for the incident.

would mm have jumped off if rossi had taken a normal type line? Maybe, but the error was forced by Rossi actions of purposlyy running him towards the track limits

  2. If you really believe this, I'm staggered.

So the world governing body decided to punish Valentino Rossi on the basis of what was said by 2 UK television commentators?

  3. Valencia 2015:
    1st Dani Pedrosa
    2nd Iannone
    3rd Crutchlow
Marquez and Rossi tangle first lap, both go down,Jorge runs wide to avoid them and and drops it,remounts to finish outside points.Rossi puts Marquez down in resultant bitch-slapping.Marquez dad has apoplectic fit and has to be sedated due to the unfairness of it all.
Rossi wins 10th title and retires,Lorenzo and Rosberg discover they are twins and everyone goes home happy except MM and who cares about him,he's just a kid and kids are always whining about something....:upyeah:

  4. Who's going to bet against jackass jumping the start by ten seconds and mowing the whole grid down:)

  5. Depends which bankers you are talking about. Brokers for example, are getting serious jail time for something the people higher up ordered.

  6. I've heard everyone talking about Miller. What's the story there?

  7. Keep up...said that ages ago ;p

  8. As has been said by the body themselves, running someone wide isn't the issue as that's within the rules.

  9. Except that's what he got fine for. They have said slowing another rider purposely isn't either. But funny enough Rossi got a point sanction for that. Go figure?!

  10. Are you making stuff up now? This is what race direction actually said.....

“Valentino reacted to what he saw as provocation from Marquez and unfortunately his reaction was a manoeuvre that was against the rules. It's irresponsible riding, causing a crash. So he's been penalised for that. We believe the contact was deliberate. He says he did not want Marquez to crash, but he did want to run him wide.”

  11. In the immediate aftermath, they also released a statement saying that running him wide was within the rules, but that it was done with intent and that is why they gave the penalty. I'll try and find it.

  12. Here's the official sanction:

FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix
Shell Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix - Decision of the Race Direction

On 25th October 2015 during the MotoGP race of the Shell Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix, rider #46 Valentino Rossi deliberately ran wide on Turn 14 in order to force another rider off line, resulting in contact causing the other rider to crash.

This is considered to be irresponsible riding causing danger to other competitors and is therefore an infringement of Article 1.21.2 of the FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix Regulations.

Valentino Rossi was requested to attend a Race Direction hearing. Both riders involved were present at the hearing, both gave testimony, and video evidence was reviewed.

The decision of the Race Direction is to impose on rider #46 the addition of 3 penalty points on your record, according to Article 3.2.1. of the FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix Disciplinary and Arbitration Code.

  13. Rossi is now talking about not riding at all in Valencia and also says he has had confirmation from Alzamora (mm agent) that the last 2 races are payback for Assen and Argentina which MM see as the cause of him not being in the title race.

Personally I think Rossi made a mistake by running MM wide etc and should have finished the race and then visited MM for a showdown off piste so to speak.
Bayliss reckoned that had the incident not ended up as it did, that someone might well have gotten hurt by a rash move on a faster part of the track so in that respect he thought VR trying to bring it to a stop was a logical move albeit not with the outcome of knocking MM off.

However you look at it, the championship has been ruined for the spectator and soured the whole season somewhat.

  14. Blimey that would be shame.....

  15. More like a travesty.

  16. Cant see rossi boycotting Valencia especially if he gets a sniff of a wet race.

  17. If it's a damp or drying circuit though, he's fucked. Going offline to overtake... Crash, bang, whollop!

  18. I cant belive Rossi had his appeal rejected bad crack

  19. Well when an appeal has to be lodged within 30 minutes, you can't exactly gather all of the data.

  20. Seems obvious to me that the governing body saw a situation where it could be reasonably interpreted that either rider was in the wrong.

Just like parents with one-of-two misbehaving children, there is no way you can demonstrate unequivocally that one or the other is at fault ... so you punish both. MM was punished by crashing therefore VR had to be punished, too. "For the good of the sport."

Lazy bloody parenting, if you ask me.
