Ridiculous statement. You don't mess about with people with a motorbike. Marquez arm could have jammed in a wheel or many other things.

You can drown in 2" of water. I work with a guy who stepped off a low 8" wall and snapped his tibia and fibia. He nearly lost a leg, did lose 2" out of it and had 2 years off work. People have been seriously injured in innocuous looking accidents in the past. Marquez himself walked away from that 200mph off last year, Simoncelli was killed at a 1/3 of that speed, you never know.

I still don't really know what he thought Marquez reaction would be, having criticised him at the pre-race press conference. Did he think he'd just back down sheepishly? If he did, then he severely underestimated him. In fact, he so underestimated him that I don't think that many people would have shared his opinion.

Also, it might be true that Marquez was messing with him prior to Sepang, but it's still not proven. He might not have been. I think too that Marquez really did idolise Rossi when younger, so he'd have taken it all the harder if the GOAT basically inferred he was a little shit. It's just poor psychology on Rossi's part, which I admit, is rare. But Rossi is extremely ruthless and will happily consign to the bin any personal relationships which get in the way of his winning races and championships. The Emmett article was bang on the money.

There were several, but I can't remember where.
The gist was that Marquez was trying to help Lorenzo win the title and messing about with Rossi and slowing him down in Australia as a payback for Argentina and Assen where, according to Rossi, Marquez felt that Rossi had torpedoed Marquez' title chances.
He also publicly doubted that Marquez had ever been his fan.
