1098 Seriously Thinking Of A 1098/1198

  1. That's my Mille on the right, looks pretty, but a top heavy pile of poo in the corners - handles worse than my 440 BHP Haybusa :)

  2. Your 31 :)

  3. 31 yeah is that classed as young? Lol
I'm sensible now compared to my 20's.

  4. On here, yes - we were all riding 180 BHP bikes in 1980 with 120 section rear tyres and single pot breaks, you young uns - don't know you're born :)

  5. Mines a gen 1. I ride a 600RR which is arguably one of the best handling bikes out there and I don't feel short changed on the Mille. 60 profile rear and some suspension tweeks and there sorted.

I knew I was born that day. Lol

  7. You have dirty finger nails :Wideyed:

  8. That was taken in 2008. Lol and it's called working for a living .

  9. Fireman? Rozza? Medic? Copta Pilot?

  10. Heating engineer. That was my car which I was driving. Lol

  11. Must have been an urgent call out - did you hurt your head :Wideyed:

  12. I was knocked unconscious but don't remember it hurting. My face and body took a bit of a beating though. I'm pretty sure I was going for a shag. Lol my hairdresser was in with me ;)

  13. Ah, so it never did have a roof? you still have hair :Wideyed: but receding? :Artist:

  14. If you look closely the roof is still on. Lol
But anyway back to ducatis. What's the weak points? The hydraulic clutch ok or is it a nightmare like the Mille?

  15. On the Mille you just needed a later oil jet fitting in the LH gear box case? Certainly on the Gen 2 ones anyway - fixed my gear engagement issues. Unless you mean the hydraulics - mine is fine now I've replaced the jet. Never heard of issues with the hydraulic clutch on a Ducati apart from the stiffness. I saw the squished roof yes - just reference to your hairdresser - hope they were OK too - it's a mess!

  16. I've had all sorts of clutch issues on rsv but it's a 2000 and prone to it. Still not 100% and changed every part on it. Lol
Yeah girl is ok and got a good pay out. Still got to shag her as well. Lol
People say rsv clutch is heavy but doesn't bother me once I'm rolling I clutch less up shift.

  17. Buy an 1198 there mad!! But be warned they bite back!!

  18. Good I'm not one of these people who think a bike is un rideable without ABS. Do 1198 have a slipper clutch?

  19. Also is an s worth it over standard 1198 if I was to get suspension sorted properly? I mean are they proper ohlins or just stamped stuff?

  20. I went with the showa (basic model) better value for money as just as good on the road. Only thing I would like would be traction control for the track as a safety measure.
