1098 Seriously Thinking Of A 1098/1198

Discussion in '848 / 1098 / 1198' started by Kevster84, Aug 30, 2015.

  1. And no they have a standard clutch

  2. I've yet to feel the benifit of TC yet. I've rode an early s1000rr which doesn't have TC and the bike actually tells you enough to not need it IMO of course.

  3. Yeah it ain't the end of the world but I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. But hey why don't you buy mine?? Good price Mr.:upyeah:

  4. Which ones yours? I need to sell the Honda first although I do have a couple of people interested as it's quite a rare bike.

  5. There's some pics on here some where, pearl white 2010 7k on the clock near mint condition few nice mods. Look in my profile thingy should be some pics some where.

  6. White? Is it not the law ducatis have to be red? Lol

    I'll take a look.

  7. Go into the 1198 section and look at "new 1198"

  8. White 1198's are faster than red ones.

  9. I found it. Looks well fella. What would you replace it with though?

  10. I thought they had a ATPC or whatever its called, basic slipper?

  11. Could do bradders

    • Agree Agree x 1
  12. If it's anything like aprilias PPC then it's a waste of time.

Cookster a friend of mine is selling a 1199s for 14k.

  13. FWIW I have never used the dtc on mine.

Mine is red though so I probably should

  14. Sorry I meant it only mentions hydraulic clutch, not clear whether its a slipper or not

And I never had an issue with 848 clutches

  15. I only brought it up as my experience with hydraulic clutches is there a pain in the ass. Lol
I hadn't read there was an issue with Ducati ones or anything. One less thing to worry about.

  16. Occasional bleeding at the top end (mc) is all mine have ever needed, although they are a bit heavy

  17. You cant be that fast, you have a red one

  18. And get your clutch re jetted as Exige says. Although i didnt think they were a heavy clutch. Get yourself onto the rsvzone to find out all the info
