The SFV4S has the same calipers and I’m guessing, the same master cylinder as the Panigale V4S. There’s nothing spongy about the Stylema M4/30 and m/c on my Panigale V4. My first pad change was for Brembo SR’s (used to be SC’s) and they are fine for road IME. Biggest problem is the location of the ABS pump, there is a long push from the m/c to the manifold so any air in that line is always being pushed against gravity and it still then has to go to the caliper. Bleeding is a challenge, I’ve tried low positive pressure on the reservoir and vacuum from the caliper but ended up with the bleed pipe end submerged in brake fluid and continuously pump while someone else keeps the reservoir topped up. On my Multistrada, I put a bleed nipple on the ABS manifold banjo bolt, makes it so much easier. Andy
Just another thought, has the m/c been bled of air? You’d be surprised how often that bleed nipple gets overlooked/ignored.
Depends where in Berkshire you are but I’m happy to offer a helping hand. I’m a stones throw south of Reading and east of Newbury. Andy
I wasn’t sure if the abs pump would cause an issue. I’ll try another dealer then I’ll give it a go myself is it’s still the same.
Managed to cable tie the lever last night and just released. Feels good but can’t get out for a ride until the weekend. Let’s hope it’s done the trick .
