Still a few out there for sale if you have a look, and its the right time of year to buy price wise. Nothing like that buzz of getting on a ducati again. I bought my 996 earlier this year after selling my 748 back in 2001 and even though ive had many bikes in between and still have an R1, the buzz when I fired up the 996 and took it for a test drive was incredible. Well worth buying just for that experience!
I know mate, looking at this bike and others. Really want another but I have a 996 monster s4r custom that I can't shift, just doesn't want to leave my possession.

Been tinkering a little !! Under the seat was rather dirty, 3 hours with autoglym bumper care sorted that out, headlights were a bit foggy (no pun intended) so took them off, broke them down and cleaned inside lenses, thought I may as well well mask off the black section you can NEVER see with the fairing on and repaint it !!
Table came new off eBay for £280, also bought nice comfy mechanics seat for £29.99 from M&P via eBay, can't kneel down so table makes life easier Ebay item number 161097451704 was actually £290 free delivery too !! The single swing arm stand is slightly wider than the table, one stand wheel overlaps, been up there couple weeks and is solid as rock, money well spent
