Good points well made above. Iv shelled out for the bike so pointless saving pennies on the one thing that could save my life
so just went to infinity on great portland st and it looks like i have an arai head... amazing how cosy the rx7 felt compared to the x spirit i was going to buy one but they only had it in frost black so the search goes one... race rep vs gloss black?!
One with tarty graphics every time. Although some may disagree, the Arai is not the quietest helmet so ear plugs should be considered. Andy

I've got a x-Spirit 2, great lid but way too focussed for the road, it's a full on race lid and as such I end up defaulting to my nice comfy Arai chaser a lot of the time. I can't fault the shoei though for build quality, aerodynamics and safety features such as the chin pads that can be pulled out by paramedics to remove your helmet in an accident.
