That's decent of you Sev and I will give it some thought. I wasn't thinking of getting an MV but I've decided that I don't need a 996 and an 851 and it's been sitting around unused in the same way that Char's has been.
Its even quieter on the z1000 forum - theres me posting and the admin replying....that's about it... I think you'd miss the buzz of activity on here...I say and say it again, this is probably if not the best forum ive ever been on, and, it was one of my considerations when I was in the process of decision making...
That is interesting I never thought that a Forum could have such an influence on even the bike you ride. It is good to stay where the action is unless you are intent on becoming a hermit, haven't ruled it out mind
Yeah - it does for me, or should I say since owning a ducati, it has....im quite a sociable person, plus all my mates years ago had bikes, all of them, probably plus 20 or so, now, only one has a bike and he's about 40 mins drive away so I don't have any face to face conversations about bikes with people.....so, its a good way to keep up with stuff/people etc etc...I don't have a facebook account - im dead against it as years ago I had one but only cos my mate moved to aus and did everything on facebook so I got an account and within a month it was full of asshole's from school wanting to "be my friend" but they were assholes then so I can guess that it would have changed much so I closed it...
Great minds think alike Char, my sf with 12k on it went on the 16th April after a lot of thought as I loved riding it and I'm picking up a Brutale 800 RR in red in white this afternoon. I've already had a run out on it on trade plates as the paperwork has taken a while to come through to register it and I don't think I've made a mistake, it's awesome
What exhaust are you thinking of buying? The QD particularly in black looks awesome but a bit on the expensive side considering there no ECU with it. I put a Termi on mine yesterday, and although it's a pity to lose the three pipes it actually looks good and sounds even better
Sev's "have your bike ridden and serviced like you still owned it" garaging and riding continuity service is free of charge to all forum members
Might wait for the HP Corse - tbh I like the change of a quieter bike - would like to get rid of the 'udder' though It gets better each time you ride it - just had the first service Where did you get yours from ? MV aren't electronic in dvla - mine took an age. Worth it though [emoji106]
Was parked about 5 metres down from you on the rsv4....never mind, as you say, next time.....lovely bike by the way.....attracted lots of amateur David Bailey's!
Got it from Kickstart in Port Talbot, to fair they have gone right out of their way to get my bike, to the point where they sourced it from MV Leicester to save me waiting until stock arrived. The HP corse looks great, I may change mine but I don't expect it to be cheap
