Great, thanks. I emailed today begging to be moved to group 2. What's this "host instructor" thing then?
Cool, they should get that sorted then Host instructor is an instructor assigned to a group. It basically means that we, in the case of monday, host group one by doing sign ins, then a couple of whiteboard classroom type bits, and all the 1:1 instruction on the track You have host instructors for each group, but the cushty roll is when you’re a floating instructor, as you mix with all groups, but they rotor it around, so every Trackday you’re in a different group, floating, or assigned to the masterclass I’ve certainly had worse jobs, and they provide the bikes etc as Silverstone is sponsored by Yamaha, so we have 2018 R1’s and R1M’s albeit on Pirelli road tyres
@cookster your out! Good session and clutch fine. Loads of cement on track after cars this weekend. Just need the red engine warning light to magically fix itself. Might just put some tape over it
My gixer, in fact both that I have owned, have had the oil light come on when on track. All the time.
Right, I've done for linked in profile work (my job for this morning) so think I'll jump on the bike and come over and have a laugh, I mean have a watch
Cheers. Thanks for the track tips at lunch, really made sense. Must say probably best TD I've had. Not 1 red flag and small groups. Really impressed with the day.
Yep. She rode really well apart from the faulty EGCV and air intake valve error and now I have this strange buzzing thingy bob. Only bad bit was bikes got soaked on trip home and now drying in garage. Damaged paint on 999 swing arm where a ratchet strap slipped and rubbed :-/

glad she went better than last time! You'll be a fully qualified Honda mechanic after a year of ownership!!
