Yup, almost certainly going that way, we'll be in a black transit. Probably pop by the services at Peartree for a coffee as well, try and bump start the old bones.
Driving down from Yorkshire this aft and staying in pub nearby Never done Silverstone and it be dry Never done a duc trackday and it be dry
Yup - doing that, just wondered if it was worth just sticking 'em in. Castle Doom measure 101 with them in, but fuck knows where he had the probe! :Woot:
I'll probably be going M40, A43 from West London if anyone is around that way? I was considering a more creative route but I'll probably still be sleeping for most of it
Its ride by so a good 105 shiuld be fine. My akros fully open ranged 103-107 when tested. 99 with baffles
Although Silverstone appear pretty laid back re noise they are infact quite strict in that the noise level is 102 and 105 if you go out without baffles and ping their noise meters (various positions around the circuit) you dont get a second chance, basically your sent home. However if you go out with baffles fitted and trip the meter they'll allow you to try and quieten the bike down. Best thing to do and this will I'm sure be told to you at the briefing by Steve the track manager is to see the bloke with the hearing aid at the end of pit lane who will happily do a static test for you with no risk, i.e. If you get him to test you without baffles and your below 102 you should be good to go. Its all to do with the local council apparently and each time a noise meter is tripped your bike is photographed and somehow the council are notified, too many violations in a day and the council can close the day. Well thats the story they tell at the briefings and I've no reason to doubt them. I have seen blokes fail the drive by without baffles and will vouch they've been sent home.
Just put the buggers in...Cant be arsed fecking about on the day! My poor brain will have enough on! :Woot:
I'm heading up this evening to stay with friends in Milton Keynes. See y'all tomorrow! <Excited!> cheers, Dom
I'm looking forward to it! I did Silverstone last year with Focused Events on my 848 without baffles and had no issues getting through. Think the limit on that day was 102db
Yes, in the morning all in the intermediates. Shame about the visiting Italian bloke who got mugged in the advanced, ended up being air lifted to hospital. Personally I had a great day and met several forum members. Even Matt (mcabe) turned up to say hello. Sitting in a pub now having a curry and a beer. Absolutely knackered but had fun. Andy
hmmm yes.....perhaps some need to have a hard long think about that...and I'm not talking about those on track...
Mutlti performed as well as it could, tyres frazzled on the edges but still lots of life....and anyone who says a multi is as quick as a sports bike in a straight line is deluding themselves...even those monsters and old sheds are quicker Another guy popped into the adv on a multi too and mate said he was going well
Good day overall and pleased the 748 (infostrada colours) went well Good to see so many modern era bikes though esp the suprleggera and the desmos Inters was fun but shame about the smashed up panis esp the tricolore Hope the guy airlifted is ok Thanks to the organisers
