Recently I was enquiring about the cost of Helicopter lessons in a R22, average is about £380/hr, Silverstone is a bargain for a day of fun
I used to go a lot when both FE and NL were selling days. Typically £150 - £185 for the GP. SIlverstone direct were always more, however, this did keep the riff raff away...
Except you are using all your fuel, your tyres, your spares, transporting it to the venue and actually only get about 2hrs max on track if 6 20 min sessions, and as Silverstone seem to do 5 with the first 30 min it’s less than that.
Fair point about 2hrs track time Bradders. I will continue doing TDs at Silverstone, they are the best run on what is a superb safe track.
I am hopeful that there will still be an early bird discount once the booking system goes live. I did get an email in November saying as much. I think it’s a cunning marketing ploy to make us feel we are getting a bargain once (if) it happens. So, fingers crossed.
What way round is it, Ducati or Suzuki engine ? I’m sure I’ve seen a Ducati powered Bimota over the years. Andy
