  1. I understand there is health and safety bollocks and that but can you not just drive/ride to the conditions? Its like not wanting to race because bend A is to sharp to take flat out.Slow down to a speed you can take it at!

  2. Yes Keith I totally agree. I can't get my head round why they couldn't fit full wets and race slower, after all there were thousands of fans there on their own bikes, and THEY rode home somehow. It's beyond me. If they thought one particular bit of track was particularly bad they could have said no overtaking there, impose a speed limit if they wanted, but no race at all?? No excuse for that.

  3. The risk was too high for the best racers in the world. The worst, club racers, would have had an extended lunch and still got all classes in

  4. Even so, can't the best riders in the world slow down if the conditions are too difficult? I also suspected some teams saw a way of taking advantage when they realised the race wouldn't be re-scheduled - it suited some of them to leave the points totals as they were and have one race fewer left in the championship (in my opinion). I would have preferred them to at least start the race, set a speed limit if they wanted and if anyone overstepped, impose time penalties or instantly black flag the offenders. THEN, if it became impossible they can stop and call the race null-and-void. Anything rather than no race at all. Did the fans get their money back or any compensation?

  5. Rossi has raced Donny.

  6. Different lifetime.

  7. Not exactly a race to see bikes slowly wobbling around.

If you want to see that, watch the fast group on a Ducati Day

As Bradders mentioned we didn't even think about it club racing we were there to race. The rain started in this race while we were sat on the grid and I had to do 10 laps on dry tyres.
It was also about 4 degrees I couldn't feel my fingers after the race.

  11. Tbf I have been to Anglesey where the event was rained off at 1pm becaue the river at the bottom of the hill was, well, a river 6’ Wide. And Cadwell again later on because Park straight was more like a park pond. And brands when too cold and wet. But we raced on road tyres not wets and most of the classes were on on full wets

  12. My second race was cancelled one March because the track had started to freeze and I raced in sleet in the first race.
Oh what fun we had looking back.

  13. I rode a race at Snetterton where I crashed every corner with Cranker, shoulder to shoulder, like some kind of chariot race for 2 laps until he fell off going for a mad overtake. Then I spent the next 4 laps circulating, waving at the word with one hand on the bar lol

  14. I remember Dovi winning the MotoGP there on a soggy Sunday. Rossi fell off and still beat Toseland

  15. True, but last time out was glorious.... The summer of 18.... Remember it well:)

  16. Course I don't WANT to see bikes wobbling around slowly but surely that's better than nothing if they refuse to re-schedule? And the fact that those videos are here and are entertaining to watch sort of proves my point, better a slow race than no race.

  17. Drifting a super bike looks cool as fook!!

  18. I agree 100% Pete. The throttle goes both ways. Not too many videos years ago, they v would carry on racing in slicks if the heavens opened mid race.

  19. Are we STILL going on about this? The Riders complaints as I understand it was standing water at critical places, corner, braking area and a very fast straight, with the aquaplaning and also the "red mist" it was thought by the majority that it was unsafe, it's their job, not just a one off race, they have more to think about than whether we get to see one race in a whole season. Plus there was the spray for the riders that aren't up the front.
