  2. We are staying in Milton Keynes travel lodge. £60 a night and only a short trip away

  3. When I looked there were no rooms at the inn but thanks anyway. Andy

  4. The start line for motogp is the old start line after Woodcote a and b stands.

  5. Try Hind Hotel, Wellingborough through booking.com. Double room £57 inc full English. I cancelled a room there yesterday.

  6. Is there a designated Ducforum beer/coffee meet during a track lull in the action on Friday?

  7. Off to day of champions tomorrow on the multi, doing the ride in thing with a couple of laps of the track, taking SWMBO as pillion so she can get a real view of the track, then heading south for a couple of days touring, back home for race on Sunday.

  8. General Admission Friday night through to Sunday eve. Camping at woodlands lively.

  9. I did the Day of Champions a few years ago, bought a very over priced t shirt if I recall that was the best part of the day.:)

  10. I don't believe so. Care to suggest one?

  11. We'll be there on bikes by the looks of it....sunday, so far, looks to be dry. Don't know whether ill be on the hyper or RSV4 as one needs a shed loads of upgrades fitting to it....(Hyper) and the other is leaking oil and needs a set of tyres (RSV4) - although for this kind of deal id rather be on the RSV. The previous statement really says it all - and the RSV has been ridden twice in the last 6 months....but I love it.

But, to my main point....this thread is really only for people that know each other - which, it seems a lot of you do...I would probably walk past a loads of you without actually realizing it so....I could...

    a. Put a little "Comfysofa" sticker on my jacket....which would make me look like a twat - as if I don't anyway (thought id get that one in there first) or...
    b. Sidle up to someone who's got something remotely Ducati based pinned, stuck, sewn on, or equipment based and then sheepishly say...."er - you on the forum" like ive just approached them for a bit of dogging...

So, I think ill just say now....it was nice to see you all but not actually meet you...

  12. Or you could check out the 'this is me' thread for clues...

  13. Well, yeah - ill give you that but theyre not always up to date, plus whenever I see someone I don't think they look like there photo's most of the time....eg my passcard at work makes me look like I should be selling kebab's....

I think the only persons I "think" ive seen is Dave.....I might have seen him at Fowlers earlier on this year but didn't have the chops to go over and ask...

Or just look out for a bloke dressed in badly fitted Rossi leathers, that will be either Rossi or more than likely Ping Pong.:)

  15. I did pop-in to Fowlers earlier this year ... I think I was in my van, not on the bike.

I was looking for some new 2-piece leathers. Tried a whole bunch on but didn't find anything - the new Alpinestars they had in weren't a patch on my old ones - printed logos instead of stitched, thinner leather etc. I ended up with some Furygan kit from Helmet City at West Bay - they are really nice. Top notch leather, beautifully made with some excellent design features. The big Panther logo on the back is possibly a bit tacky but if I try I a bit I've found I can convince myself that it is ironic and therefor very cool ;)

I won't be on the bike at Silverstone so sadly you won't be able to recognise me by the ultra-cool Panther on my back - perhaps if the weather is nice I'll wear my ultra-exclusive Desmosedici Riders Club t-shirt instead (or would that make me look like a twat? ;))

We've been over this... I'm not taking my dog.

That I cant answer - depends if you've got a short temper...

Well, I did see a bloke on a Desmo parked over by the MOT entry, Silver fox....so that would probably be the decider!

Johnny T5 - I have no idea where you will be or where im going for that matter, if the weather is shit then we're in the car if not, on bikes....never been to anything like this before but ive a horrible feeling its going to be shit and I may as well have stayed at home and downloaded it the next day but hopefully ill be wrong...

The problem is for me is im used to the TT, where I can see everything close up - ive got visions of needing a pair of opera glasses to see anything....my mate has just dropped the tickets off - we're at Becketts, wherever that is...

  19. I'm heading up shortly, should be there 6 ish. As there's no meeting place, I'll keep a look out for anybody Ducati-ish. I'll be in the family camping area with small Tesco's tent (I'm presuming you can't park bikes next to your tent). Dressed as my photo on the left.

Anyway, even if we don't meet up, I hope you all have a good time and we'll meet up back here on the forum.

    Kevin
