Sincere Request - Please Help

  1. Wishing you a full and speedy recovery.

Another example of the fantastic work by the Air Ambulance and the care they gave you and many others in so many circumstances.

I suspect you will find the local blood bikers support the air ambulance by restocking the blood at the base. Certainly the Hampshire and Isle of Wight air ambulance based at Thruxton has its replenished by SERV Wessex and at times the critical care car operated by the HIOWAA.

  7. :kissing_heart: if you need parts contributions, speak forth.

I am amazed how our bodies repair and I bet yours has already got to work fixing multiple issues.

In a far more minor way I got airborne a couple of weeks ago at Jerez and was lucky just to hobble away. As I exited the track and climbed over the barrier I found a very convenient metal frame with four moulded, plastic seats attached. I thought, that’s handy, I’ll sit here out of the way as they clear up my carnage.
So I sat on the end moulded seat. The other end went up like a see-saw and I was face down in the gravel again

The marshal pissed himself laughing and then told all his mates who turned up in the truck.

That was an awkward ride back to the pits……

I kept it quiet, but thought you might have a giggle.

  9. Kind offer thank you. To be totally honest I’m so head screwed I'm not sure yet what to do about the bike. I need to get a clear head first before deciding anything but (at the moment) I am not sure if I will physically be able to ride a sports bike again. :worried:

  19. I have just increased the target to £3000. Just Givings default target is £1000 so its going well. So far we have raised £2265 plus a further £500 from gift matching from my brothers firm (that will not show on Just Giving).
The Air Ambulance Service sent me some interesting facts:

    • Average mission cost is £1700 - so, I'm (we are) in the black
    • £5 pays for a pressure dressing
    • £20 buys a stethoscope
    • £25 pays for five miles flying
    • £40 could buy a single use pelvic splint
I have now reopened my Linkedin account and posted on there. I've not really used Linkedin for a few years but I have about 500 contacts on there still. So, hopeful we reach the £3k plus £500.

Thanks you all once again for your kind words, thoughts, support and money! Ducati people are quite simply the very best. I am proud to be part of this group.
