This is great news! It’s down to the fact that a) We love you… b) You are a larger than life character (maybe less so physically..) c) You put in the hard effort in the first place..! All the best for that speedy recovery we all hope for! R
Not been on the forum for a while since my move, sorry to hear you got got all banged up .. Hope you recover swiftly sir! Just donated, great cause and hopefully one most of us won't need but great to know we're in great hands should the worst happen! GWS!!
I spoke to a client the other day who was knocked off his bike by a driver high on cocaine and cannabis. The air ambulance saved his life, but unfortunately he still lost his leg. This is such a worthy cause, I still can’t understand why it’s not government funded, so keep donating folks.
Re government funding. Most of us think the same I guess. Since my crash I have done a little research. There was a government petition that reached the necessary numbers to be discussed. It would appear that the majority of the air ambulance charities would rather not rely on the government for funding, fearing being bottom of the pool and of future cuts. Follows the article link. https://hansard.parliament.uk/commo...D0-4E7D-BCEC-2CAA706DA4F5/AirAmbulanceFunding Finally, I am super chuffed to say that today WE have broken the £3k target. Today is significant to me as it’s 6 weeks to the day of my off. I’m absolutely blown away by this. Thank you all. But keep coughing up if you’re not in yet!! I will provide more details tomorrow or thereafter. I had physio today and it’s left me tired and exhausted. Thanks again for all your support.
I am happy to hear that you made a good recovery Monthly DD would be the best option. I am donating £5/month since 2020. The con artists (GOV.) should definitely do more.......

Don't know you but that should never matter. We are all brothers and sisters and I wish you a speedy recovery.
Sorry to hear about this, mate. Yeah, I'll donate. Get well soon! Bit of a gyp getting to ride in a yellow chopper and missing it.
Just come across this post. Best of luck on the road to recovery. I've donated monthly to air ambulance, and children's air ambulance for years. A very worthy charity and you just never know if you might need it one day
With not being on here for a while I'd missed this - so sorry to learn of your accident. Donated straight away. Best wishes on a good recovery, and don't over do it however tempting it may be! Blood donation is also vital for our NHS as are monetary donations for all voluntary rescue services - ex Mountain Rescue operational member.
Cheers mate. I only discovered I am no longer able to donate blood on leaving hospital as I was given blood and plasma. Bit gutted about that.
Today I went to collect my boots, gloves and glasses from Silverstone courtesy of my new gorgeous chauffeur, aka Mrs. EPJ. There was a car track day there today and I had to get the kit from race control. It felt great to be there, really good actually which was very much of a surprise. I honestly did not know how I was going to feel going back there. On the way out dropped by the medical centre so I could thank them. They were very gracious and pleased with how I was all things considered. One of the guys had viewed my crash on the cctv many times - he was there on the day. Apparently one guy went down and broke his ankle. There was then another guy in the middle of the track with his arm in the air. I was unsighted right up till then but I must have seen or felt him as apparently I clipped his raised arm as I hit the brakes. The bike and I went up and over and the bike landed on top of me. Hence all the trauma. On hearing this I actually felt relieved. One that it was kinda out of my hands and two that I wasn’t a foot further across or I would have killed the guy on the floor. Now. I’m not certain there were two riders and wonder if the chap I brushed was the guy with the broken ankle. But above is what the chap who had viewed the cctv many times said. He said he would show me but wasn’t allowed to. Thank god. So. Moral is. Don’t use your body to try and save your bike from a few scratches. Edit. Also thanks to the Silverstone Instructors who (I am told) stopped to form a wall around me as bikes were still going past. I know at least one is a member of this forum. Cheers.
PS. We are at £3399 now. PPS. Now I have all kit back I will do a separate thread on how it performed.
Link to crashed gear review:- https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/real-world-crash-tested-gear-review.97611/ We have just ticked over £3500 thanks to an anonymous and generous donation. If it was you. Thank you!
