  3. nope. seen enough.

  4. Well !………….almost :(

  5. What a game though. I’ve just about recovered and now am just a little gutted. Lost by poor tactics in first half and an inability to change. Naive. But they are a young team.
    Congratulations to Scotland.

Italy did really well, I reckon they will win at least one game this time.

  11. This thread is quiet considering today's matches.

I’m only watching it because I play cricket with Jamie George’s brother but I’ve been sucked in!

  12. ^^^^^^^^^^^I've watched both matches so far this weekend only to switch over 5 minutes before the end of Scotslands match as i thought Scotland had a good game but're not ambitious enough for me, that attitude let the French back in but surely that was a try as the ball went over. Its all about the correct language from the ref on the pitch to the TMO.
As for the English side not that great game but a win is ok for the next round, Wales were very good in my opinion but a great defence from the men in white shirts got them over the line.

  13. Bang on try. And regardless of the cheating and moaning Welsh opponents and having a ref who made up his own rules as he went along a great win by the English roses today

  15. Nothing against the Irish as they're the best team out there at the minute, but i'd like the Italians get one over them today.

  16. As a French man, I really feel for the Scottish players (and their supporters). Finn Russell displayed his magnificent self and just for that, they deserved to win. I just love this bloke. His attitude is priceless. You need people like this in your team, when things get rough. Loosing a game like this is awful… This type of treatment is usually reserved to the French team, so I speak from experience.

Now, from the « winners » stand point, the ball didn’t seem to have been pushed down on the line, but rather slid across. Which does not count…

    :D

  17. It's a contentious one for sure.

Personally I think it should have been given based on the conversation between on-pitch and off-pitch officials, it clearly touched down after slipping off the French boot.
However, the actual point of ground contact could not be seen, which is a requirement.
The Camera angles were too low to the ground.

I believe the French team are adult enough to realise that the Ref won them that match.

And yes, Finn Russell's reaction was commendable in the extreme, to just except it and not throw his toys out of the pram.
But that's typical of Rugby players.

  18. That, and also because they’ve been on the wrong side of that stick countless times before. Actually, it may be the very first time in this tournament that dodgy reffing benefits Les Bleus.

Finn Russell is a class act. In my opinion, he embodies more than any other player out there the saying:

« Rugby is a sport of thugs played by gentlemen ».

As opposed to football, a sport of gentlemen played by thugs…
