  1. It's never popped up on Safari in OSX for me. Very annoying though I bet.

  2. It's not the forum it's the shity browsers you are using . Use fire fox it's the best and clean, although find it very amusing it's linking to words that you use

  3. It was on firefox...

  4. Install AdBlock for free.

  5. check waht browser 'add-ons' have been installed. Remove the ones that you dont want.

but I use safari at home on mac, mozilla on gaming pc and here at work. never use anything google anymore. if i can help it. theyre evil.

  6. can it come from someone on line? not that i watch anything dodgy.

  7. when you update java etc, sometimes it asks if you want to add stuff sneakily, ie it puts the choice where people are likely to skim over reading and install the 'add-ons'. Lots of software does this. Its annoying.

You dont have to watch dodgy stuff to get these sort of things. I dont and have had to uninstall stuff liek that from my home PC. I suspect Mrs Boots as she wouldnt know.

  8. so i can ignore all that single grannie looking to get laid stuff then.

  9. Depends. If you are no longer on speaking terms with your Grandma, then yes.

  10. Got it. Didn't stop it.

    Tried that.

  11. Stop visiting dodgy sites

  12. If you use mozilla or similar, turn on 'Private Browsing' when viewing dodgy sites.

    Or so I am informed...ahem...

  13. Then it sounds like something else is on your machine.
I run AdBlock on Chrome and don't see any adverts at all.

  14. That's why I asked the question. I don't think it's my computer at all.

  15. You should only ever see them if logged out - all registered users should not see them. figaro, are they always showing for you?

    Rob.

  16. No, they were only there for a while, then they disappeared. I thought for a second that maybe I was logged out, but actually I was logged in, I only logged out when I cleared the cache and ran a virus check.
