You could use Araldite, were you mix the two together and spread it along the gap and it drys clear in colour it comes with a small plastic tool or use a lolly stick, from memory dip your finger in a bit of water to smooth over it if needed, got to be away to stop it without splitting the engine. Trick's or miths is use a candle or a bar of soap and rub over the gap and press over with your finger.
Will try that oyltite stick ... same as you said, rub it along the join and it dries to form a seal .... worth a try i suppose
I would give it a go and if it works just keep checking it every now and again, let us know if it works, read the instructions for the stick to see if its best to apply with a cold or warm engine.
Will do matey .... would expect better with just 7k on the clock ... not impressed with liquid gasket crap lol
Maybe the engine had been split before and not reassembled quite right. Feel for you, none of us budget for this kind of thing when buying a bike.
I know the last thing you want to do is get the engine out and split the cases, but weren't some of these prone to hairline cracks in the cases, and how else will you find out if that is the case? No point trying to cover it up or bodge a fix, especially since its so nice otherwise.
Wasnt leaking when i got it ... would get it sorted but how much are we talking here for a garage to drop n split the engine .... over £1000 i bet, it doesn't leak enough to drip on the floor, i double checked the oil level today and it was a bit full tbh so have now drained some out. just a crap start to ducati ownership .... shame coz i love the bike
